We work to inform and develop various state-level policies that incentivize and simplify saving and wealth building for low- and middle-income Californians. Helping working families save for college, plan for retirement, and access financial tools needed to climb up the economic ladder requires a broad approach. We research, write articles and policy papers, hold Bipartisan Asset Policy Forums, and help develop and advance legislation in the following asset building policy areas.
Each of these policy pages provides information on legislation, as well as other recent work, in that area. To see a list of legislation, click on the links at right.
Our policy agenda:
Building Health - Promoting Wealth
Expand Retirement Savings Opportunities
Eliminate Barriers to Self-Sufficiency
Incentivize College Savings
Increase Access to Banking Services and Financial Education
and Promote Tax-Time Saving.
